Stopping junk mail from the post office
by Nick Smith 26th June 2006In the UK the post office delivers a lot of unaddressed mail through our letterboxes, but you can opt-out of it. Just write to:
Door to Door Team
Post Office
Kingsmead House
Oxtens Road
Oxford
OX1 1PX
with your home address and your signature. I did it and the unaddressed junk stopped very quickly 
There are also addresses to write to for stopping unwanted post that is addressed to you, as well as telephone cold-calling, etc. See the link below for more details.
