Second ascent of The Groove at Cratcliffe Tor
by Nick Smith 22nd November 2008While out photographing some friends bouldering at Cratcliffe Tor, I was lucky enough to see visiting American Kevin Jorgeson doing the 2nd ascent of the breathtaking route The Groove. Originally climbed by James Pearson, he graded it E10 but has since suggested it is actually E11 (!)
Kevin was climbing with 2 in-situ video cameramen, and I didn't want to interfere, so I just snapped a few quick shots from the adjacent buttress, which UKClimbing are using on their news reports of the ascent.
