Percy Pud 10K race

by Nick Smith 28th August 2007

I've just been persuaded by a friend to enter the Asics Percy Pud 10km: "South Yorkshire's most popular 10km race. It takes place on Sunday 2nd December 2007, along the picturesque Loxley Valley on the outskirts of Sheffield."

Glad I heard about the race so early, as the places always fill up by the end of September. I'm hoping that it will give me something to work towards over the next few months. It sounds like a fast course, so perhaps a new PB will be on the cards? :)

The USP (Unique Selling Point) of the race is that every finisher gets a Christmas pudding for their efforts! Should be great fun.

Update 2nd December: Oh dear, another race I've entered and then dropped out before the start day :( I was very slack with my running recently, barely getting in a short 5km run in the gym once a week, and the thought of running 10km in the pouring rain this morning was all too much! Must do better in 2008...
