Ice climbing in the Alps
by Nick Smith 25th January 2008
This was only my second time ice climbing, and I booked onto the Jagged Globe Alpine Ice course, which is a 7 day course based in the Chamonix and Cogne regions of the Alps. My main focus was learning to ice climb, so it was a case of whipping out my new Canon SD870 compact camera for a few quick shots between climbs, rather than spending hours photographing with my full SLR kit. Still, I'm pleased with some of the shots. This gallery also includes some photos by Paul Farmer, Rick Marchant (guides) and Jeremy Harris (client).
Some of the shots are featured on the Jagged Globe website, and I'm hoping they'll also make it into their printed brochure next year.
