Green products: Main Power and Energy Monitor

Not so much a green product itself, but something that lets you become greener. This cheap product from Maplin lets you easily see how much power various appliances (TV, computer, fridge, etc) are using when in use, and when in standby mode.
Once you see how much energy you are wasting, it is easier to get out of the habit of leaving things switched on, or in standby mode. You can also use it to check if mobile phone/laptop/MP3 battery rechargers are using power when switched on, or only when they are actually charging a battery.
Once you've checked all your appliances, lend out the monitor to your friends and encourage them to do the same.
